LinkedIn Profile

Jen Sanwald serves as a Principal at ArchBridge Family Office. In this role, she serves as primary strategist for several of the firm’s most complex multi-generational client relationships, overseeing wealth structures that span multiple jurisdictions, operating businesses, trusts, and philanthropic vehicles. In addition to serving on the firm’s Risk Management Committee, Jen also chairs ArchBridge’s Trust Committee, which governs the firm’s corporate trustee function across 360+ entities and more than $3.5 billion in trust assets. In this role, she has focused on strengthening the alignment between rigorous fiduciary standards and ArchBridge’s customized, family-office-first model, ensuring the firm’s professional trustee work reflects the responsiveness and tailored counsel that distinguish a family office from an institutional trust department.

As a writer and speaker, Jen is an active voice on jurisdictional planning, fiduciary best practices, governance structures, and how the next generation is reshaping risk and decision-making in family wealth. Her recent work includes the article Why Jurisdiction Matters and speaking engagements at the Private Wealth Management Summit, the Wealth Partnership Spring Retreat, and the Missouri Bar Estate, Trust & Elder Law Institute. She is currently completing dual LL.M. designations in Wealth Management and Risk Management (May 2027), building academic depth alongside more than 15 years of practitioner experience.

Jen earned her JD from Washington University School of Law, where she received CALI Awards for Excellence in Legal Practice and International Taxation. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Truman State University where she was a member of the accounting honors fraternity Beta Alpha Psi. Before joining ArchBridge in 2012, she practiced trusts and estates law at Lewis Rice LLC, focused on transfer tax planning, business succession, and complex trust structures. She is a member of the Missouri Bar, the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Section, and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Despite being proud Midwesterners, Jen, her patient husband James, and their two young children love putting their passports to serious use, with recent adventures spanning the UK, France, Belgium, and Italy. She enjoys boating in the summer, skiing in the winter, and hunting our old libraries and tucked-away cafés to work or read in (seasonally agnostic). She is a devoted St. Louis Blues fan, a serious reader of unserious volumes of nonfiction, and the kind of person who plans a family vacation with the same intensity she brings to a complex trust restructure – for which her family has learned to be both grateful and slightly afraid. She maintains this is a personality asset, not a flaw.
